There is something so freeing about only having one roll of film! It makes me slooooow down and take the time to compose the shot I want and there is something quite magical about the whole process. Goodness, I am just so impressed with the tonal range of film and how it can handle harsh sunlight. Here is a fun little shoot I had with with Sarah from Sarahdipity Photos  .

A single word that I am drawing inspiration from for the year is #movement. I want to capture movement. Not movement that is forced,  but movement that happens organically and movement from the environment like the wind and the sea. It makes me more of an observer which I like.

Thanks for checking out this shoot. I hope you all have a blessed week.

I just loved Ashley and Brandon’s southern Alabama engagement session. When you have a love like this, 30 degree weather doesn’t matter.:)And the sun even came out to play which made us forget the cold. We walked the property of Keisel Park in Auburn which offered such a great backdrop. Ashley’s roots go deep in Alabama and her grandmother’s family lived in the house on the property which is why she chose to have her session there.

These two will be getting married in Pensacola Beach, Florida this spring and I can not wait to capture their wedding day!

This session was done on both film and digital.

Well I just love this family so much and so enjoyed getting them in front of my lens. Megan and I met out surfing years ago and since then she and her family have become very special us! I just love how this session came together and am so excited to have captured it on film. You would have never known that this evening was a chilly one and the wind was crazy, but this group braved it and rocked this session!

This was my last wedding for 2015 and I am so happy it ended like this! Alison and Kyle were such a fun and easy going couple that it made my job easy and I truly enjoyed celebrating with these two. You would never know it in these photos that it was raining….down pouring all morning and up until about 10 minutes pre the first look.  I ended up choosing the Lightner Museum to have the first look since we could be under cover if it didn’t stop pouring. But, thank your Florida for being so indecisive and deciding to clear up and be beautiful rest of the day.:)The wedding and reception was held on the rooftop of The White Room.

I always giggle when a bride tells me their fiancé does not like taking pictures because ladies that is most men. It seemed like Kyle enjoyed himself or he’s a great actor. Or maybe he was just so enthralled in the moment, that it didn’t matter what he was doing because he was marrying the love of his life.

Anywho, I really love this wedding, this couple, and shooting weddings.:)
